At Thalia House, our team of therapists and dietitians are eating disorder recovery specialists dedicated to providing treatment and nutrition support and planning tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Our programming is aimed to promote and sustain recovery in our clients. Our treatment includes:

Group Therapy

Group therapy is available to clients Monday through Friday and involves:

  • Group and Individual Processing
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Nutrition Counseling
  • Meal Planning & Grocery Shopping
  • Shame Resilience & Gratitude          

    - Utilizing research by Brene Brown
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Individual Therapy

The clinicians at Thalia House are experienced in providing effective treatment for eating disorder behaviors with co-occurring diagnoses and issues such as trauma, PTSD, interpersonal relationship issues, family problems, anxiety, depression, personality traits, etc.  All of our clinicians are licensed in the state of Kansas as social workers and/or therapists.

Clinicians and partners from Resonate Clinic work to create a strong environment for continued recovery through integration of family therapy.

 

 

Nutrition Counseling

Our Registered Dietitians are key in fostering a healthy environment at Thalia House. They encourage and help clients to return to or to introduce normal, intuitive eating behaviors, to eat with others, and to challenge themselves with desserts and eating out. Within the program, these professionals facilitate:

  • Meal Planning
  • Grocery Shopping
  • Nutrition Education
  • Individual Nutrition Counseling
  • Weekly Restaurant Outings & Take-Out
